I had a problem with blood oxygen levels so i ordered this pulse oximeter to monitor it. This little device gives me much peace of mind.

Great for my at home needs to monitor my o2 levels. Doctors and staff are very impressed with quality of this oximeter. Love the bright yellow color.

Carry all the time handy enough, use it to catch an onset of angina, when oxygen levels are down. If it had a sd micro chip it would be even better.

Worked really well on my grandfather who had poor circulation as well as my infant. My only complaint is that the silicone cover on it doesn’t stay on.

I absolutely love this little dude. I had gone to the doc for my semi annual checkup. My rhr (resting heart rate) was a tad bit on the low side. Well, we can’t have that, now can we?. So i bought this little dude to keep track of my numbers at home. Within three days of checking four times per day, keeping good records for the doc whom i see again in 3 months, i am now experiencing a satisfied mind. And i got the numbers written in a little notebook to share.Plus, yellow is my fave color.

Nice little meter but back won’t snap shut when batteries are inserted.

My son had came out of hospt & we wanted to make sure his breathing oxygen is being good. As soon as we received it & turn it on. Gave a good & fast accurate number. I’m so great ful of this product.

It took more than minute to obtain o2 sat. I would often be talking to patients for some time, and often it wil not register any number at all.It came with the rubber and the case. Rubber keeps falling off the oximeter, so had to tape it. Better to choose a different brand.

After the finger clipped, the respond time takes about 1 minute, it seems a bit long, it also sometimes takes a long time for the reading to appear. Hope the new one would have faster reading time. I do not use the plastic cover since the black cover is good enough.

Responds well in different patient settings. Having problems keeping silicon case on.

This is what people how nee to check their oxygen should get.

Great tool for people with a breathing problem. Why walk around and not know your oxygen level. As a product it is a wonderful tool and well made.

Works great put the batteries in, put your finger in and instantly should register your o2. I use it at night as i have sleep apnea and stop breathing 3-4 times a night but won’t wear a mask or anything on my face. So since i am one to sometimes wake up breathless i will check my o2 pulse ox. And sometimes it is ok and i have had it down to 80, 81. So i just put some oxygen on and it comes back up after a bit. Here are the specifications for the AccuMed CMS-50DL Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Finger Pulse Blood Oxygen SpO2 Monitor w/Carrying case:

  • Make sure this fits
    by entering your model number.
  • ACCURATE OXYGEN SATURATION AND PULSE RATE READINGS IN ONE DEVICE: The Fingertip Pulse Oximeter fits all finger sizes from kids above four years old to adults as it measures the level of oxygen in the blood and reads the pulse rate in just eight to ten seconds. It is crucial to use the device in a stationary position and not while in motion for precise readings.
  • FAST & CONVENIENT READINGS: SpO2 and Pulse Rate are graphed on the bright LED display. The LED display cover prevents ambient light washout, making readings crisp and clear. Average time for a reading is 8~10 seconds.
  • LOW POWER CONSUMPTION: Equipped with two AAA batteries, the oximeter automatically powers off when not in use and delivers up to 24 continuous hours of battery life.
  • PORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT: Weighing only 50 grams, every AccuMed oximeter comes in a convenient travel case that protects it from scratches when carried on its own or inside your gym bag or backpack. Attach the included lanyard to the case or directly to the oximeter for easy reach anytime.
  • DESIGNED FOR HOME USE, EXERCISE OR TRAVEL: While the AccuMed Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is handy for detecting vital signs, it is not intended for medical use but rather for situations where you need to know your oxygen level before and after your workout or sports such as running, hiking or cycling, or while traveling in an aircraft.

Received product promptly and it was exactly as described. A battery was included which meant i could start using it immediately.

Received quickly from the shipper. Manufacturer sent a follow up email to make sure everything was fine. My husband uses one when he flys. This was purchased for home use. Even comes with a nice rubber protective casing and a separate case to keep it secure. Great product for the price.

Got this because i dropped my old one (that i had for 8 years) and if fell apart. I have copd and other breathing and cardiac issuesd so the unit gets lots og use. This one works and seems to be fairly accurate. The only real problem is that the rubber cushion (where it clamps on your finger tip) is made of some kind of hard, fairly smooth rubber, that lacks any real ‘grip’ and easily falls off the finger. The old one had a softer, more pliable liner that ‘gripped’ the finger. If i had to do it over, i would definitely pay a little extra for a better modeli would not recommend this one to anyone else.

I had one of these (same maker, different model number) for several years. I still have it, but we moved, and i cannot find it. I bought this as a replacement, and it is very accurate. I have autoimmune tachycardia. It’s mostly under control, so i wasn’t too concerned about finding the missing pulse monitor, but when i was at the cardiologist, my hr was about 30 – 40 bpm above what is normal (and already high) for me. My old model has a waveform reading on it, which i miss, but this model matches the hr and 02 readings in my doctor’s office.

The oximeter is very good, that is the only important fact. I find the lanyard a waste and the rubber cover does not fit very well it is always falling off.

The item was exactly as described it is a little slow to give a reading but the reading has always been accurate i have double checked it several times.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Love it!
  • The price was great but I was a little disappointed
  • Accurate – Made By A Reliable Company

It’s a cool color and it does work, it’s just slow to read. All the time, regardless of circumstantial conditions and variables. The silicone sleeve/case refuses to stay on, like it was made just a little too big. But it was all packaged well, and does read. I haven’t compared it’s reading to another one, so i can’t speak on it’s accuracy yet. Between the slow temperamental readings and the oversized sleeve, i’d say it’s a solid 3☆.

I ordered this for use on our fire departments qrs truck. It’s a one button quick easy and accurate tool to use. We checked and double checked the accuracy.

Hubby needs oxi check all the time with copd. This is easy to work and gives us the info we need.

Easy to keep close by & easy to use.

Nice price but a little different in the way the display faces.

Arrived quickly but if i was to buy again, i would buy the next model up. This can only be read from one direction, many will rotate the readout so that you can read it from what ever direction you like. The yellow rubber cover does not like to stay on but a piece of double sided tape should take care of that. It does come with a nice case and batteries so you are up and running right away. The readout seemed a little erratic compared to an older one that i had. It seems to be good quality but next time i would spend the extra few bucks and get the next model up and have the better readout and hopefully a tighter fitting rubber cover.

In structures for battery placement was unclear.

This is a positive review (but, a sad one, so bear with me). My dad couldn’t breathe and was admitted to icu. I’m out of the country and felt helpless. Went online and shipped him this to feel useful. Sadly, dad was dx’d w advanced mesothelioma. During his hospice care (before he passed) he and my siblings used this in his care. We all found it behind useful as we sat and watched our father suffer; and, eventually, die. It won’t save you from a terminal illness. It is useful, functional, medial equipment.

I use this for my clinic patients to avoid the extra tangling of the exam room cart pulse ox. It’s a bit touchy (better readings from right hand rather than left) and may take a little more time for reading, but still reliable and accurate (i’ve tested against our standard equipment in clinic).

I selected this oximeter because i read several reviews that it was one of the top ten in an affordable range. The price was great but i was a little disappointed. It is lightweight plastic and my main complaint is it takes to long to register my status. Then if i move at all while it is attached it cuts off and will read again until i am still. I need one that i can use while walking because that is where i get into trouble. I guess for the price it is fine but will look for another that allows some movement.

Works great but cover did not stay on.

We already have a pulse oximeter, but wanted another one to keep in our exercise room. We checked it against the one we already had, and were to see it calibrated just the way our main one was. We like the bright yellow color, as it is easy to spot in our basement exercise room.

Of course not hospital quality, but performs well enough if fingers are warm.
