I returned the item because it didn’t connect with my galaxy s 6. It had ant+ but was not bluetooth compatible. It also would not connect with my cateye strada digital wireless computer. The hr – 10 is designed for that device.
Have not tried it yet because it didn’t come with a user manual, and setting up the battery and hitting reset button evidently isn’t enough to set it up. Band is not wide and it seems comfortable on the rib cage. Out of the box this fits but if i lose more than. 5′ around my rib cage it may not work for me any more. If you’re small framed this may not be the band for you. I’m not even tiny-this band was probably made with men in mind. Also, the manufacturer has no support for this product on its site any more. No user manual, no videos, etc. I’m sure if i can get it to sync i will be fine. However, if you are the type who needs the user guide choose a different band.
Better than garmin heart rate strap.
I actually use this with a garmin 810. Up until then, i had an old hr monitor that syncs with a watch. I wanted something to sync with ant+. I chose this because it was cheaper than the garmin or wahoo. Glad i made that choice so far.
Used once, works great on my note3.
Works great with my cateye 50 and my sunnto ant + divice.
- Decently designed with a robust battery cover and a comfortable strap
- Smaller frame? Read this before purchasing.
- Works great after 1 year of usage
Easy to connect once i understood what they wanted. Would recommend this to others.
I got this as a used item on amazon to save some cash over the garmin equivalent. It has synced perfectly with both my garmin running watch and my garmin edge 500. Seems to be accurate and i have had no issues. It is slightly more bulky than the garmin, but i cannot tell the difference when wearing it.
The design of this hrm is nice and clean. The unit itself is a little bulkier (thicker) than other units like the garmin premium soft strap (also sold on amazon). The battery cover uses a coin to twist open and the unit uses a single 2032 lithium battery. It’s a robust design that allows users to easily change the battery. The strap is decent, flexible and appears strong enough for several years of use. The only problem i had, and i’m hoping i’ll be able to resolve soon is; i can’t use it since it won’t pair with my samsung note 3 phone. Both are supposed to be ant+ compatible, but my phone has never been able to see any ant+ accessory. I suspect i’m doing something wrong and hope to sort it out quickly. Update 3/28: the ant+ service was disabled on my phone. If you have a supported android phone and are having pairing problems, make sure to check in the application manager for the ant radio service to see that it’s running.
Works perfectly with my garmin vivofit.
Works fine with my ant+ watch. Compared to other straps i’ve used, it needs to be very tight to work properly. The back side of the strap wrinkles when i have it on, which makes it less comfortable.

Excellent product i had no problems syncing with my cateye stealth 50, i recommend highly accurate and easy to use.
Does what it is supposed to.
This hrm works fine, unless you wear your gopro hero camera on a chest mount close to it. The wifi was off on the camera, but it still interfered, caused the heart rate to show super low. If you use a helmet mount, no problem. For best results, put the heart rate sensor strap on your body first, then turn on the bike computer.
I bought this to watch my heart rate and it works great. I am not use to chest straps but i will get use to them as it is what it is. This was worth what i paid for it and would buy again. Get it and get out and use it.
Had a garmin hr monitor and motorola that both crapped out after a year or so. The cateye is proving to be 1) durable 2) accurate 3) reliable (rarely drops ant+ broadcast to my garmin cycling computer or ironman watch) and comfortable.
Linked with my garmin vivofit and the price was great.
TRAIN SMARTER: Track your heart rate to push yourself further and achieve your fitness goals.
I like he feel of the heart monitor strap, not annoying or bulky. Unfortunately i have been unable to have it sync with my odometer.
I love this product i use it on every bike ride. . Accurate results and has performed flawlessly.
Just as good as all the big name brands like polar and garmin but i like this one better. It also connected to my vivosmart with no problems except for me not taking the little plastic thing out of the battery. Seems pretty accurate but i will be testing it against some others.
Works perfectly out of the package. Did not need to pair it and unlike my polar bluetooth one, it works fine without conductive gel. I’m using mine mostly with the peloton bike.
I haven’t compared it to any other hr monitors, but this worked perfectly with my garmin 500 gps.
Have used it for over a year now. Accidently washed it once and it survived. The sensor does snap on, so it can be removed to allow strap to be washed. I probably wear it too tight and the elastic material is a bit deformed, but it works fine.
