This stopwatch is no doubt my favorite ever. The reason i like the yellow is because i have summary stopwatches that during swim meets on not sure which ones that i particularly like to use. The finis 3x–300 is pretty much the same as the 3x–100, but yellow. What i like about the stopwatch is the extra split feature that it has. For all of you swim coaches out there you will be able to understand this. Most stopwatches when you split with the left button the time continues to run. That’s ok, unless you are timing a 500 yard freestyle and forget where you are in the race. This is where the fourth function comes into play. The fourth function is also a split function, but when you hit the left button, it starts the time running at zero again. You can switch back-and-forth between all of the different functions during a race.
I’ve gone through several of these watches over the years. They usually last between 6 months and a year. Was hoping they would last longer but the buttons always seem to wear out and just stop functioning.
Same batteries and works great. Coach summer league and high school swim.
Works like a charm, i just can’t figure out what the plastic peace is for on the neck string, it just slides up and down.
Has more features than i need for basic swim team timing but works great. Would definitely recommend this stopwatch to others.
The finis 3x-300m watches are excellent. I have had one set for 2 years and no problems with them at all.
- Fragile but worth it.
- Finis Plus Swim Coach Equals Awesome
- Same batteries and works great! Coach summer league and high school swim
If you’re buying a stopwatch, finis is the only way to go. I purchased this stopwatch as a swim coach, and had absolutely no issues. This watch is effective at taking multiple splits, and is also water resistant. (that being said, i wouldn’t submerge the watch in the water. As a high school coach, the longest race i have to time is the 500, so i would imagine for longer races, like the mile, you will reach a split limit. Mine still works 5 years from purchase date.
Keeps many more lap times than my old one. Old one kept 8-9 this one keeps up to 100.
I bought this stopwatch on a recommendation from a fellow swim coach. The ability to store so many laps, to do lap splits, etc. , pays off at every practice and meet.
